Rules & Regulations

  1. Participants must have played in at least five (5) WUJT events from 2008 and 2021.

  2. All members are required to have their $50.00 security deposit paid by the first event of the 2021 season.

  3. Anyone missing a round (after committing) will be required to pay the cost of the missed round before playing in the next scheduled event.

  4. ALL PLAYERS MUST COMMIT TO PLAYING IN AN EVENT AT LEAST 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT.  (You can do so):

  • Indicate on your scorecard (IN or OUT) for the next event.

  • Communicate verbally with John, Mike or Gary your intent.

  • E-mail Gary your intent (garymc25@comcast.net)

 

You may drop out up until 48 hrs. prior to the event...

 

  • Each event will be scored via net scores.  Net scores will be calculated via WUJT handicap system (score – 72x .80) and based solely on WUJT events and will be managed on an event by event basis.

  • WUJT Point system: points will be award for each event.

  • Power ranking will be created and managed on an event by event basis.

  • Power ranking will be determined by updated WUJT Handicaps.

  • Based upon the numbers of participants in the league we will use a 4 to 1 ranking system. (40 players top 10 = 4; 11 through 20 = 3; 21 through 30 = 2; 31 to 40 =1.) The total each event will create WUJT points per event.

  • Points available per tournament will be based on the number of players and the cumulative points of the player’s power ranking to equate the total points available per tournament .(C=1; B=1.5; A=2)

 

Players finishing within the top fifteen “Gross” of an event will receive the following additional points:

 

  • 1st        30pts

  • 2nd     28 pts

  • 3rd      26 pts

  • 4th      24 pts

  • 5th      22 pts

  • 6th      20 pts

  • 7th      18 pts

  • 8th      16 pts

  • 9th      14 pts

  • 10th    12 pts

  • 11th    10 pts  

  • 12th     8 pts

  • 13th     6 pt s

  • 14th     4 pts

  • 15th     2 pts

Players finishing within the top fifteen “Net” of an event will receive the following additional points:

  • 1st        45 pts

  • 2nd      42 pts

  • 3rd       39 pts

  • 4th       36 pts

  • 5th       33 pts

  • 6th       30 pts

  • 7th       27 pts

  • 8th       24 pts

  • 9th       21 pts

  • 10th     18 pts

  • 11th      15 pts

  • 12th      12 pts

  • 13th       9 pts

  • 14th       6 pts

  • 15th       3 pts

  • Tournament Champions will received additional points as follows:

    • Event type: A: 50 pts.; B: 35 pts.; C 25 pts.

  • Major tournaments will be worth double the power points.

  • Maximum Tournament handicap will be 30.

 

 

Playoffs: (MUST PLAY IN ATLEAST FIVE EVENTS TO QUALIFY)

  • Season will end the top 36 point leaders will enter the playoffs.

  • Playoffs will be three rounds with no point carryover from the regular season. (each round starts new scoring)

  • First round of playoffs (1 through 8 BYE) 9 to 36 play for 12 spots.

  • Second round of playoffs (1 through 8 & top 12 of round one play for 12 spots).

  • Final round of playoffs (remaining 12 will face-off for the Championship!

Standard Play:

 

  • Maximum strokes per hole:  “Triple Bogey” (Must pick up and move on, irregardless of any side action).

  • You can roll the ball in the fairway (must be the fairway of the hole that you are playing).

  • “Gimmes” are allowable inside the length of the “Gimme Stick” (Must pick up on Triple Bogey) * Gimme Stick provided to each group.

  • If you can’t identify you ball and have to pick it up it must be replaced in the exact spot and situation from which it came. (if your ball is sitting down in it’s lie it must be replaced down…NO Fluffing)

  • If a shot is hit and there is a chance the ball is lost or out of bounds, a “provisional” second shot should immediately be hit from that spot so a ball is in play at all times, until it is determined if the original ball can be found.

  • Red Stakes: Indicates a lateral water hazard you can play out of the hazard if you choose or take a drop it will be a one shot penalty and the drop must be place within two club lengths from the point the ball entered the hazard.

  • White Stakes: If a ball is hit out of bounds and which is indicated by a white stake you must take a one stroke penalty &  rehit the ball from it’s original spot. (IF OB    IS IN QUESTION PLEASE PLAY A PROVISIONAL)

  • Yellow Stakes: Indicates a water hazard you can play out of the hazard if you choose or take a drop it will be a one shot penalty and the drop may be place on the line which the ball traveled into the hazard back…you can take the drop as far back as you wish as long as the line by which you crossed the hazard remains between you and the hole.

  • We will be enforcing a new code of conduct policy to benefit all players; our groups and all the groups on the course.
